Hi everybody!
This week we were told to write about what we felt about next year as a year 8 or in college.
As a year 7, next year I will be a year 8. There are many things that I am looking forward to next year like playing against the future year 7's and sitting on the chairs during assembly. I think being a year 8 nextyear will be a fun experience because we will be the oldest in the school.
There are also some challenges when I become a year 8. For me, I think camp would be a challenge, as some of the activities sound like they're going to push me out of my comfort zone. It is also my last year at school which I'm not sure if I'll be happy or sad about.
Since it will be my last year at school, I will probably try to do my best in everything. I'll try to get in to the finals for speeches, science fair, athletics etc.
That's all for now people of the word!
See you next time on my blog!

Book week
Hello and welcome back to my blog!
That's all for now folks!
See you next time on my blog!
Here is a little bit out my 3 favourite things I enjoyed about the week.
The book character parade:
It was fun watching everyone in their costumes walking around. Everyone was very creative. My costume was one of the army figurines from toy story. Mahon was a gladiator from the book: horrible histories.
The Kate De Goldi visit:
On one of the days Kate De Goldi visited our school to talk to us about her books and about her childhood when she wrote a lot. Kate De Goldi has made lots of books. My favourite is probably the ACB.
The book character quiz:
The book character quiz was held on the last day. The groups were set in year groups with different difficulties for the questions. In the end the Brigidine groups won. That's all for now folks!

Flick the Fire Engine
Hi guys!
This week were told to write about a book we liked as a kid. I liked......
Flick the Little Fire Engine is a book about a little red fire engine who wants to fight fires more than anything in the world but can't because the other fire engines say that he is too small. One day the other fire engines are having trouble with a big fire. Flick rushes to help and saves the day! I think I liked this book because of its story line and the song.
That's all for today folks!

AFL
This term so far we have been taught some skills to do with AFL.
Some tips I leant were:
Some tips I leant were:
Arrow arms-keep your arms straight when dropping the ball
X's up and down-make sure the "X's" at the top and bottom of the ball face up and down
laces away from faces-make sure laces are away from faces
All of these things help you with doing good kicks.
In AFL kicking is used for scoring and passing.

Dungeon boss!

My latest favorite game I have so far is Dungeon Boss. Dungeon boss is a roll playing game (RPG) where you upgrade your heroes as much as possible to defeat the increasingly difficult dungeons. This game is my favorite because I really like the characters you can get from the summons or tokens and the game play. There is also a mode where you can try to raid other peoples dungeon. This can earn you honor scrolls that you can buy summons and specials with. You can also get friends on the game and you can use their profile character once a day!
Those are the reasons why this is my favorite game from the app store.
Bye, and see you next week!

Jobs
This week we were told to write about our ideal job. Since I can't really think of one now I'll just write about a job I wanted as a little boy.
When I was a little boy I wanted to be a paleontologist because I was very enthusiastic about dinosaurs.
I don't actually know much about paleontology except you dig up fissilised bones but I think you'll have to study geology in highschool to learn more about it.
I think if you are really keen on being a paleontologist but are to young you should just try your luck and go digging in the beach or while going on a tramp.
That's it for this week folks!
See you next time on 'Joshua's Blog'!
What job would you like?

Wet n' wild, Gold Coast
Hi guys!
I'm back again to write about an event that happened to me in the school holidays.
In the holidays my family and I flew over to the Gold Coast in Australia. We went to a bunch of attractions including Australia Zoo, Dream World and Movie World but today I'm going to talk about Wet n' Wild.
Wet n' Wild is a water park in Australia which has some really cool rides and even has it's own wave pool! some of the rides I enjoyed most was the Black Hole, the Tornado, Constrictor and Mammoth Falls!
Here are some descriptions of the rides listed above.
Black Hole
The Black Hole is a water slide that has a series of twists and turns on it's way down. To top it off it's also almost pitch black.
The Tornado
The Tornado is probably one of the more intense-starting rides in the theme park. It starts off with a slow u-turn followed by a steep slope into a large diagonal funnel which your floating ring along with you toss and turn to the end.
The Constrictor
The Constrictor is basically a large water slide with 3 around 360 degree turns in a floating ring.
Mammoth Falls
Mammoth Falls is the fourth and final ride I'm going to talk about. This is probably also going to be my most simple ride to explain. You're in a floating ring going down a very twisty water slide.
Well, that's it for today folks! See you next time on Joshua's blog!
P.S If your wondering why there are no pictures in this post it's because I couldn't find any good ones.
